Wiesbaden Regional Final Germany

 

JWTS announced today the club for the regional final in Germany.

The final will be held from 18.-26.09.2021 in Wiesbaden, near Frankfurt.

The Wiesbadener Tennis- und Hockey-Club e.V. (WTHC) is one of the largest and most renowned tennis and hockey clubs in Hessen. With over 100 years of history and more than 1,300 members, the WTHC is one of the traditional sports clubs in Germany. The spacious club complex in the beautiful Nero Valley with 18 tennis and two hockey courts impresses with its special flair.

The club gastronomy with the Café & Restaurant Leichtweiss and the beautiful sun terrace are an attraction for club members and visitors alike. In the 50s and 60s, the world's tennis elite played in the Nero Valley. Names like von Cramm, Buchholz, Bergelin (Sweden), Hoad (Australia), Krishnan (India), Pietrangeli (Italy), Fletcher (Australia), Dr. Gisbert (Spain) made the club, founded in 1905, an attraction. The international top was also present for the women, such as Gussy Moran (USA), Bueno (Brazil) or our German aces Vollmer, Pohmann, Buding or Ebbinghaus.
